About The Flush Report™
Welcome to The Flush Report™ — the original and one and only Flush Report.
We’re based in Roanoke, Virginia, and we do something a little different: we review public bathrooms.
We’re on the hunt for the best, the worst, the weirdest, the cleanest, the nastiest, and everything in between. Restaurants, gas stations, stores, public buildings, roadside stops — if there’s a restroom, it might end up on The Flush Report.
And yes, we take this sh&t seriously.
Our 5-Star Rating System
Every restroom we review is judged on the things that actually matter:
- Cleanliness
- Supplies
- Privacy
- Condition
- Smell
- Functionality
- Overall experience
We rate bathrooms on a 5-star system, but don’t expect us to hand out perfect scores easily.
A 5-star restroom is rare.
To earn all five stars, a bathroom has to go well beyond simply being clean. It needs to be well maintained, fully stocked, comfortable, functional, and leave us genuinely impressed.
And if a restroom somehow goes above and beyond even that, it may be considered for the highest honor we can give:
🏆 The Golden Toilet Award
Our Golden Toilet Award is the most coveted award in The Flush Report universe.
It is extremely hard to earn.
We have reviewed plenty of bathrooms, gone through a lot of sh&t, and we are still searching for a restroom truly worthy of receiving it.
Clean isn’t enough.
Nice isn’t enough.
Even five stars may not be enough.
The Golden Toilet is reserved for a restroom experience that makes us stop and say:
“Now THIS is how a bathroom should be done.”
Why Did We Start The Flush Report?
The better question is:
Why not?
Social media influencers review everything.
Food. Restaurants. Hotels. Cars. Products. Services. Coffee. Clothes. Vacations. You name it.
So we figured somebody needed to review the place almost everybody eventually has to visit.
The bathroom.
We do the same thing other reviewers do — we just focus on something nobody else seems willing to talk about.
And while there’s plenty of humor involved, public restroom quality actually matters. Cleanliness, maintenance, supplies, privacy, safety, and accessibility can completely change someone’s experience at a business or public location.
So yes, we have fun with it.
But we also take this sh&t seriously.

The Flush Report isn’t just about the bathrooms we find.
We want you involved too.
If you come across a public restroom that deserves attention, send it our way.
We especially love seeing the worst of the worst — broken toilets, empty soap dispensers, dirty floors, missing doors, strange signs, nightmare stalls, questionable plumbing, and those bathrooms you walk into and immediately regret.
Those are always fun to share.
But send us the good ones too.
If you find a spotless restroom, a surprisingly nice gas station bathroom, an incredible restaurant restroom, or somewhere that clearly went above and beyond, we want to see that too.
Your bathroom could even be featured on The Flush Report website or our social media pages.
Send us your:
Photos • Videos • Location • Bathroom stories
Help us find the best.
Help us expose the worst.
And maybe — just maybe — help us finally find a bathroom worthy of the Golden Toilet Award.
