ROANOKE, Va. — A new local review brand is taking a different approach to community reviews by focusing on a subject almost everyone can relate to: public restrooms.
The Flush Report, based in Roanoke, Virginia, reviews public bathrooms at restaurants, stores, gas stations and other businesses, rating everything from cleanliness and odor to toilet paper, amenities, stall locks, accessibility and, of course, the all-important flush test.
The concept is simple: “We review bathrooms so you know before you go.”
The Flush Report combines useful information with humor and short-form video content, giving viewers an inside look at the best and worst restrooms the area has to offer.
Each restroom receives a rating based on the overall experience, with five stars reserved for truly impressive facilities. The team is also searching for a restroom worthy of its most coveted recognition: The Golden Toilet Award.
“We take this sh$t seriously,” has quickly become part of the brand’s personality, along with its growing community of followers known as the PoopGang.
While The Flush Report launched in the Roanoke area, the goal is to continue finding unusual, impressive, spotless and downright terrible public restrooms wherever the search leads.
The Flush Report can currently be followed on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, where new restroom reviews, short videos, ratings, humor and other Flush Report content are regularly posted.
Viewers are also encouraged to participate by recommending bathrooms they think deserve a review — whether they believe they’ve discovered one of the best restrooms around or one of the worst.
The search for the ultimate public restroom is officially underway.
